Trying to finalize my opening chapter and realizing it’s harder than everything else combined. I’ve rewritten the first page probably six times now, each time it feels closer, but something’s still off about the pacing.

Been reading up on what is ghostwriting versus just getting developmental editing help, since I’m wondering if a second opinion on structure would help more than me continuing to tweak it solo.

Curious if anyone here rewrote their opening after finishing the full manuscript instead of trying to perfect it upfront. Did that approach work better for you?
