My Giulia's engine light came on and I'm terrified of what it could be

I've had my Alfa Romeo Giulia for about two years now and honestly it's been the most thrilling car I've ever owned, the handling and performance are just incredible and I look forward to every single drive, but yesterday the check engine light came on while I was driving home and I felt my stomach drop because I know these cars can be temperamental and repairs can get really expensive really quickly. The car seems to be running fine otherwise, no strange noises or loss of power that I can notice, but I'm not willing to just ignore it and hope it goes away because I've heard too many stories about small issues turning into massive problems if you leave them too long. The thing is, I've taken my car to a couple of general garages in the past for routine stuff like oil changes, but I never really felt confident that they truly understood the intricacies of these Italian engines and all the electronics that come with them. A friend of mine who also drives an Alfa told me that finding a proper Alfa Romeo repair reputable service center is absolutely essential because these cars need specialists who have the right diagnostic equipment and actually understand the unique way these engines are engineered, rather than just treating it like any other car. Has anyone here had a check engine light on their Giulia or Stelvio and actually found a shop that properly diagnosed the issue and fixed it without charging crazy dealership prices? I'm really hoping it's something minor like a sensor or something simple, but I want to make sure I take it to the right place from the start rather than bouncing between garages and wasting time and money.
