That's a great question—having a visual map is what makes the theory click for a lot of teams. It turns the five stages from a concept into a clear workshop agenda. I found a really solid guide from Clay Global that does exactly this. It breaks down the Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test stages in a way that's perfect for mapping out on a whiteboard or Miro board. It emphasizes the non-linear, iterative nature of the process, which is key for planning. For a practical clay map design thinking framework you can use immediately, check out their detailed breakdown.

Our team is trying to adopt design thinking, but we're getting stuck on the "how." We talk about empathizing and prototyping, but it still feels like an abstract theory. I see other teams using maps or canvases to make the process tangible and guide workshops. Does anyone have a good, practical clay map design thinking resource or framework that actually lays out the stages visually? I need something to put on the wall that our cross-functional team can follow.
