How do you check your IP address using CMD?

With the command prompt, you can locate your IP address by opening CMD and entering this text:

ipconfig 

It shows the IPv4, IPv6, subnet, and default gateway addresses of your computer. To see more precise information, use ipconfig /all. Using this tool is very helpful for solving connection problems on Windows systems.
